We had a lovely last day of the term today. We had an Easter Bonnet parade in the morning and an Easter Egg hunt inside and outside the classroom.
I hope you have a lovely restful Easter and that it warms up so we can start seeing some signs of Spring!
We had some side splitting jokes told;
‘What wobbles and flies in the sky? A jelly copter!’ Charlie
‘What is brown and sticky? A stick!’
‘Knock knock, Who’s there? Doctor, Doctor Who? Your just said it!
‘Why did the chicken cross the road? Because he wanted to!
We have had a fun and exciting week exploring science and hearing from scientists.
We have had a great time being Scientists this week. Here are some of the fun times we have had. We still have more to come with a talk from some scientists and a visit from Science Oxford.
Not doing very well on my resolution to post on her more often! Monkeys and Giraffes had a great time last Friday making houses using spaghetti and marshmallow. The children came up with some amazing ways of making a house and then ate the marshmallows. Thank you Lorna for the provisions and idea!
Oh what fun we had today in the snow, lots of sledging, snowball fights and general exploration of snow. We learn’t a lot about gravity and melting.
Welcome back to a new term. This term we are looking at storytelling, puppets and trees!
Monkeys and Giraffes made a start with their cooking this week by tasting fruit and dipping it in chocolate and then making a fruit kebab. It was a messy job but someone had to do it!!!
Another exciting day in Saplings. We had a lovely ‘buffet’ lunch today (thank you for all the contributions), after eating we played party games and did some very interesting dancing! Then we were all very excited as we heard a thump on the roof and the jingling of bells. Father Christmas had come to our party. He was so excited his trousers fell down! He said we were all on the good list this year and we got a present. We then had more food!
